Teigen grew up in Chestertown on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and graduated from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, where he played men's lacrosse.
While attending the University of Baltimore School of Law, Teigen was a judicial intern for the Honorable J. Frederick Price on the Circuit Court for Kent County, as well as for the Maryland Court of Appeals Rules Committee. In addition, during his second and third years of law school, Teigen clerked for the Towson firm of Azrael, Franz, Schwab & Lipowitz, LLC.
Criminal defense, civil litigation
Upon graduation from law school, Teigen served as the judicial clerk for the Honorable J. Barry Hughes on the Carroll County Circuit Court of Maryland. He completed his judicial clerkship in September 2009, and from then until March 2011 Teigen was an associate with primary practice areas of criminal defense and civil litigation at the southern Maryland law firm of Davis, Upton & Palumbo, LLC. Teigen joined Discepolo LLP in March 2011, where he maintains a diverse practice in general litigation.
Teigen is a member of the Maryland Bar and is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland. In his spare time, Teigen remains an avid lacrosse player and fan.
